In March of 2018, The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund (DWF) received its official status as a charitable foundation. (Prior to this we operated as a project of Tides Canada). DWF recently completed our first Board of Directors meeting, and are thrilled to be supported and guided by such a diverse and talented group. Please visit our home page to learn more about our outstanding Board.
As DWF evolves to best support small and large scale reconciliation projects in a manner that recognizes and respects Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians, we have decided to conclude the micro-granting model for the ReconciliACTION Program. We will focus on supporting ReconciliACTIONs through our classroom-led Legacy Schools and community-based ReconciliACTIONS through our Legacy Spaces program.
If you have applied for a grant, you should have received an email from us on the status of your application. If you have any questions, please reach out via email at email@example.com
We will be launching exciting social impact initiatives that support the development of safe spaces for Indigenous youth throughout this year, so please be sure to join our newsletter and follow our social channels for updates.
